Description
Anthurium clarinervium has heart-shaped, velvety leaves with a network of pale silver-white veins pressed into deep green — genuinely one of the most striking foliage patterns we carry. Each leaf looks hand-painted, though of course it is entirely the plant’s own doing.
It grows slowly and stays relatively compact, which makes it well suited to a plant shelf or a spot with a bit of curated breathing room. This is a collector’s plant, and it asks for a bit more attentiveness than your average houseplant in return for those velvet leaves.
Care
- Bright, indirect light; direct sun will bleach and damage the velvety leaves
- Water when the top inch of soil is dry, and avoid letting roots sit wet
- Wants higher humidity — a humidifier or pebble tray makes a real difference
- Toxic to pets if chewed
