Description
Philodendron hederaceum has small, heart-shaped leaves and an easy trailing habit that makes it one of the most useful plants in the shop — it fills in gaps, softens shelves, and looks good doing almost nothing.
Unlike some of its flashier philodendron cousins, this one is not precious. It grows steadily in medium light, doesn’t demand a humidifier, and will happily climb a small trellis or spill over the edge of a bookshelf for years without complaint.
Care
- Medium light is ideal; tolerates lower light with slower growth
- Water when the top inch of soil is dry
- Average home humidity works fine, no fussing required
- Toxic to cats and dogs if eaten — site it accordingly
